Chapter 1: Continued…
All he could hear was the distant droneing of a man talking to him. He tried to concentrate on the voice, the more he tried, the weaker it became. Like it was floating away from him but not quite within his grasp.
He woke with a start. He first realised that his wife had just come in and had bounced onto the sofa beside him, having just placed a cup of tea on the table in front of him. He slowly realises that the voice he was trying so desperately to hear was just the BBC News, now talking about security at airports. If only he knew how important this would be in the days ahead of him.
Chapter 1: First Day In No. 10
“I actually enjoyed that” Brown muttered encouragingly to his wife, Sarah, having just walked into their new home after being hounded by press. “Lets have a cuppa tea, ehh” he murmured as he nodded his head towards the kitchen. ‘Fu*k feminism’ he thought as he slouched down onto the couch, tuning in to watch a news report about how David cameron is losing control, smiling to himself, he fell into one of those “only when your old”, werey sleeps…
